Garland Jeffreys Returns Flush from a high-energy 8-show stint at SXSW, Garland Jeffreys returns to favorite NYC venue The Highline Ballroom for a full-band performance on April 14. Still earning kudos for 'The King Of In Between,' Jeffreys will do a number of area shows before heading off to support the European release in early May. “Jeffreys sings about life, aging, and death in an unflinching manner, subject matter that some might find dispiriting, but his genius has always been his ability to make a listen that's never really heavy and leans toward positively gleeful.” – Jim Caligiuri, Austin Chronicle The April 14 show will open with The Ebony Hillbillies, about whom The Wall Street Journal says, ‘The Queens-based Ebony Hillbillies have been getting double-takes, if not full pauses, when they play in the subway stations at Grand Central Station, Herald Square or Times Square.
